I would try using spring traps using singed bacon or peanunt butter, with several traps hidden under a box heavy enough that the chickens couldn't move it and spaced an inch or so off the floor. I would also set the box near the wall where mice are likely to run and by any place you think the mice might be hiding.

You also might try lifting up and suspending the feeders at night.

I have had good success using both bacon and peanut butter for bait. I prefer to trap mice rather than poison them, especially around animals I care about and/or might eat. Good luck!
