Be careful that you and your kids dont get lyme disease from ticks. The best way to prevent it is to wear bug repellant with deet. I have read that ticks can live without food for weeks. My friends mother in-law got lyme disease about a year ago, she is miserable. Only way to kill them and/or repel them is with insecticide.
