The stuff Redd mentioned is the stuff I have heard called "egg keep" I have known of it to work in at least one occasion and have heard a lot of guys swear it works. What I watched a neighbor do was pour a bottled in an old chevy six cylinder and coverd up the radiatot and ran it as hot as he dared you could see it seep through the crack and he shut it of and when it cooled a little bit he drained it let it sit overnight and put fresh water and anti freeze in it. He only drove it about once a week on a three hundred mile round trip. I was told by him and others that it would hold unless the thing got as hot as it did when he "treated" it. All who have done this tell pretty much the same way of doing it. It is not a pour in and drive fix you need to follow the procedure for it to work. I have seen a couple of old truck engines that had a slighly visible crack that had been done this way according to the owners.
