Not necessarily. But maybe. It could mean the rings are worn, valve guides worn. Buthow much does it smoke? How much can you live with? Doesit run good, strong? Take righ hold when you take off in high gear? How much are you going to use the tractor? If you are planning on putting a lot of hours on it, really using it to farm, well then maybe you had better pass on it or at least expect you may want to overhaul it and the price should reflect the work needed. On the other hand if it runs well and you aren't planning on hundreds (or thousands) of hours a year, well maybe if it doesn't smoke too much it would be OK for your use. You have to look at the situation and make a decision.
