Depending on the engine and if your going to do it except for machine work, $500 for an aftermarket major rebuild kit and $200 to have the crank and valve seats ground and guides installed. If the cam needs work, another $100. Could be a little more or less. You could run into cracked block or warped head. You never know. If you've got a shop, go for it.
