I use the Nash Choker Loop traps and have good luck. I have 3 of them now and can keep up with the invasions. A pretty simple device available most places with all the mechanism below ground. great for those with kids and dogs. Find the active tunnel, step a section down hard, cut slits in the ground with a spade for the wire loops, and place the trap flush with the ground. When the mole comes back through he pushes the dirt up and the loops snap up and squeeze him to death. All the action is below ground. Really effective and kind of fun.

You should be able to find them for about $12.00 most places. I have loaned my traps to folks many times and soon they have one of their own.
