Bubba, Your suggested simulation of field conditions, by raising the land wheel to desired plowing depth, seems logical, and I did that. Keeping in mind that, in my case, both the land and furrow wheel are 600-16(now rubber converted from steel), I was able to level the plow with the leveling lever. However, out in the field the plow barely goes in the ground. I particularly have trouble on the first pass in unplowed soil. I cannot set the leveling lever enough to allow for it. This all is particularly confusing to me considering that in the parts illustration of the original plow it shows the land wheel to be about 6" larger than the furrow wheel.(parts manual shows the original wheels to be steel with the furrow wheel 5.00-26 and land wheel 4.00-32). Leroy verified this condition in his reply, and I appreciated his suggestion as to what tire size I should use. However, I have not yet done that. Laurence
