Gary, you say 5 weeks straight with your '96? Number one, unless were hand carving the part, I'd be more than PO'd. If couldn't get the part because of back order, that'd be one thing, but after being in their posession for 2 weeks, I'd be pretty antsy and calling a couple of times a day. After 3 weeks, I'd be blowing fuses. 5 weeks straight in their posession? My family would be pointing at the moon and telling people, "He's up there".

But, it is a eight or nine year old vehical ('96 out in '95), and in this throw away society, they may not be in a hurry to fix "that old truck". That's how the Dodge dealer back home referred to my '88 Dodge (high miles, great shape) when I traded it and my '94 (low miles, great shape) in on my '01 Cummins - "What, that old truck?". I could've punched the guy, since he looked at it out the window and said that, without even going out to it, and then sold it the next day for 3 times what he gave me for it. I should've punched the guy.

A class action would mean that there are several of these involved, not just yours. And if there is a class action, you'll be madder at the lawyers after you get a settlement check for pennies years from now, after the lawyers took the bulk of the settlement and bought themselves another summer home on the coast of France, thanks to you and yours.

Good luck Gary. It seems that you are between a rock and a hard place, and perhaps you should consult an attorney. I hate those guys (attorneys), but sometimes they are a necessary evil.

Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Godfrey, Illinois Country Days - by Cindy Ladage. Except for last fourth of July's Old Gold show in Springfield, Illinois, I don't remember when it was so hot. Nevertheless, the heat didn't keep vendors and visitors alike from enjoying the third annual Country Day's Event. Jane Elliott said the event was originally a one man show. "Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this ... [Read Article]
