That depends on the tractor and the owner. If it's something rare and he knows it, you're probably not going to "steal" it. If it's something rare and he doesn't know it, you might be able to. If it's something common and you both know it, you might get a deal. If it's something common as dirt but he thinks it's solid gold under the rust, it isn't worth the time. We'd all like to find something like an original low-radiator JD "G" sitting in the weeds and haul it away for $50, but that doesn't happen too often.
