Years ago I sold a truck with a 454 in it. It had 150k hard towing miles on it. It used Mobil 1 exclusively. As I was telling the buyer how clean Mobil 1 kept the engine, he was skeptical. So I pulled a valve cover. The inside of the cover was clean enough to do brain surgery on. The guy could not peel off the Franklin's fast enough. I'm sure you know about Mobil 1's test where they bought 25 car & truck engines, ran them 250k miles, tore them down, and did not find one part that was out of spec. Yes, even the cylinder bores were in spec for both size and taper. I have lots of engines around here. Every one runs Mobil 1.
