My father in-law bought a new 6' finishing mower a few years ago. He could not get it to cut right, he kept running in higher and higher gears with the motor running wide open. I finaly got him to put the tractor in first gear. When he did this the pto shaft would barley turn. I laught to myself as I showed him to move the PTO shaft leaver to the other direction. I did not know until then that his old 135 MF had a ground speed PTO. Using the live PTO made a world of differance.

This may not be the problem, put my father in-law is still upset over this one.
