Clutch is stuck

I have an IH 140 early 1970 vintage. Worked fine in the fall parked it in the garage enclosed and did not have the cultch in the spring. Tractor runs fine, It can be started in gear and runs fine also. Can not shift gears with out shutting down engine. Push the pedal in nothing. Could the pressure plate be stuck to the clutch disc???? I cannot see to much inside. Is there any way to tell without dismantling the tractor????? Any ideas?????
