If it runs, and everything works, $1500 is a STEAL on that tractor. However, that is if you intend on this being a work tractor and not a "showing the friends your new toy" tractor. We run a 484, and it is a great machine. By far one of the best utility tractors we've had. Now, a TA is short for Torque Amplifier. What that does is basically cut your speed in half, so you have the same rpms at a lower speed. This is meant to be done on the fly, no clutch or anything. Very handy for heavy work or steep hills. It should be a handle on the left side of your dash. The downside of that 884 is that it is a big tractor in the utility field. The mowers are gonna need to be kinda big, and the bigger you get, the more things cost to buy, maintain and repair. Also, should your tractor break down, can you trailer it to a dealership? It is a large tractor, especially compared to other utility tractors. This is an important factor if you do not have the time or resources to make repairs yourself. Anyway, drive it around a little if you can. If it feels right and you like it, buy it because you'll regret it if you let it go for 1500. Good luck. It's probably a great machine.

Elliott said while this
