Selling overseas

I have been contacted by some from the UK about selling them a, well, horse. The reason I'm posting this here is that I quite often see adds that say "no overseas buyers" What do I need to watch out for. I'm a little suspiciuos because the guy wants a three year old draft horse stallion for his 7 1/2 year old son. Then he tells me time is important because his son's birthday is coming. What kind of financial arrangement would be safest, or should I just pass. Thanks for allowing this one horsepower question. WJL
