Radiator hose

New to me tractor (Oliver), but I havent gone into it too far, I am pretty new to this. I grabbed a hold of the radiator hose, the low one (I guess its the radiator outlet?) and darn it all if its not very hard INSIDE! There is hard stuff in there, in chuncks. Help me here, my car ones just contain coolant nad its a nice squeeze right through, so I think I have a problem.
I went to the drain plugs to get the coolant out, and nothing but a small drip came out. I need advice on how to correct all of this mess. T-I-A
