Just wondering----if I'm NOT supposed to shut off the gas (while the tractor isn't being used), how am I supposed to shut the tractor off? I have a '45 JD A, with a magneto, no ignition switch or post on the magneto to ground it out, and I've been following the directions in the owners manual, which specifically states, that the CORRECT way to shut the tractor off, is to switch back to gasoline (this was an all fuel engine at one time), and shut the gas off at the gas bowl.
