I can sympathize with you but can offer no solution to the problem but to offer my experience. I was grinding Ear Corn for my cows with an old Belt driven Letz Burr Mill and a rock caused the Trip on the bottom of the machine to open. Looked and found that the shear was a round wood like dowl.So smarty me i replaced it with a common bolt and the next rock totally destroyed the Burrs and some other stuff. No more Burr Mill. End of story.
