Thanks everyone for some clear replies. In reference to the comments about me posting after I read my manual...Please note that my manual is 40 years old now and I thought it prudent to consult the board in case any of the replacement parts had advanced in either design or function. I ALWAYS read the manual first and I ALWAYS check the board in case I misunderstood any thing. A machinist taught me to measure twice, cut once. I will always seek to learn beyond the written word. In this case I got a great excerpt from the John Deere manual mechanics manual and some good collective wisdom!!! Regards, Mark
