I just went through this on my diesel pickup. Had just replaced one battery. The other checked out good. I did a paracetic (sp) discharge test which showed no shorts. To do that you disconect the neg. battery cable. Lock the latch on the door handle so the car/system thinks its in sleep mold. Then hook a amp meter to the battery post, and cable, if there is more then .5 amps drawing you have short (half a amp). If it is less than a half amp it has to be the battery, regardless if it test good or not. I changed the second battery and it fixed it. I don't trust any test that shows a battery is good unless it holds a charge in cold weather.
