Yeah, I've heard the same things about the new 6.0s. As far as the 6.9 goes, I think it's pretty much the same engine as the IDI 7.3, but the 6.9 has thicker cylinder walls and thus less prone to cavataition damage. Off course, less power too. Ask me 300K miles from now, and maybe I'll know if it's as good as my 6.2s. I've never been a Ford fan, but . . . we've had a lot of trucks with 6.9s around here, and generally, the engines outlasted the trucks.
