Tractor shows?

Last two years I worked on a tractor and spent a bushel on it and couldn;t wait to get it to a tractor show. The temperature was about 95 degrees all day and I hated to leave my tractor and just about burned up.I didn't find the tractor show business very exciting but I did enjoy talking to some of the people.Most tractor shows around here don't even give any awards or the tractors aren't judged.I'm as prowd of my tractor as I can be but What's the purpose of the shows?
