Yeah, Son and I did a hayride last weekend, for our church group. Two wagons, pulled by antique tractors. One wagon had an old fashioned grainbox with sides, and straw bales to sit on - for the younger set. Other was a hay rack with logs to sit on - for the older and allergic set. We had a great time.

A BIG word of CAUTION, a few years ago, my wife was nursing at a local hospital, evening shift. Suddenly there were ambulances from all over taking injured to hospitals far and near. Story was, that a fraternity & sorority at a college about 30 miles away had a hayride. Two wagons, pulled by horses. The rear one had a lantern tied to the rear. Somewhere en route, the lantern was lost. A drunk driving a suburban collided with the last wagon. Many serious injuries on both wagons, two horses had to be put down. MORAL OF THE STORY>> Light your equipment like there's no tomorrow, choose your route carefully for visiblilty, and it's probably good to have an escort vehicle behind to provide some protection.
