NOT TO RIP YOU!!!!! (I REALLY MEAN THAT JUST SO OTHERS CAN LEARN) YOU PAID UP FRONT AND PUT A TRACTOR ONTO A TRUCK AND DID NOT EVEN KNOW THE GUYS NAME. YOU ARE LUCKY IT GOT TO THE NEIGHBOR'S YARD!! MOST BIG COMPANYS WILL LET YOU PAY ON DELIVERY BUT THESE INDEPENDENTS WANT AT LEAST HALF UP FRONT TO PAY FOR FUEL. BIG COMPANYS USUALY GIVE DRIVERS HALF UP FRONT EVEN IF YOU PAY IN FULL AT DELIVERY. THE PAPER YOU REFURE TO IS A STANDARD "BILL OF LADING"AND IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SHIPMENTS FOR HIRE. JUST LIKE HOW MANY OF YOUR TRUCKING FIRMS HAVE HAD A "ICC"# ON THE DOOR. THIS IS A GOVERMENT LICENCE TO DO BUSSINESS IN TRUCKING BUSSINESS. SHOULD SAY "ICC MC########" AND BE PAINTED ON SIDE OF TRUCK. SEE THESE SMALL TRACTOR HAULERS HAVE TRUCKS SMALL ENOUGH THEY HAUL THINGS UNLICENCED. EVEN IF THEY GET STOPPED THEY CAN SHOW THAT THE TRUCK IS IN THEIR NAME AND WHO CARRIES A BILL OF SALE ON A TRACTOR.HAULING MY OWN TRACTOR. WHEN IN TRUTH IF YOU PAY SOME ONE TO HAUL SOMETHING THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE LICENCED "ICC#" KEEP RECORDS FOR STATE FUEL TAXES ECT..... YOU AS A SHIPPER ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A BILL OF LADING AND GIVE COPIES TO TRUCKING FIRM. ONE OTHER THING--- YOU DO THIS LONG ENOUGH AND YOU WILL SEE...... YOU HIRE JOHN DOE TO HAUL -- HE SIGNS JOHN DOE ON YOUR SHIPPING PAPER AND RELIZES THE TRACTOR IS WORTH MORE THAN YOU ARE PAYING FOR IN FREIGHT CHARGES. YOU CAN FIGURE OUT THE REST!!!!! HAS HAPPENED!!! TERIBABLE WE LIVE IN SUCH TIMES THAT YOU ARE CONSIDERED A CROOK TILL PROVEN NOT A CROOK. BUT EVERYONE NEEDS TO C.Y.A.
