If you have Windows 95 or newer and a monitor of comparable age, that should be no problem. If you don't want to shell out for a new system, you can get good used systems for a song in the classifieds. These systems have the benefit of having been engineered and designed for Windows and graphics even if they are a little old. Unlike decent makes tractors, computers drop steeply in price with age so that by the time a computer is five years old or more., it has essentially give-away value. Not the case for a Deere! I am like you in that I'd rather put money into tractor iron than computer silicon. However, you do need a minimum level of performance. Just my $0.02, good luck.
