Field cutting

Looking for advice on what to use to cut tall grass. I have a field about three acres, it has poor drainage and by the time it has dried out after a wet spring the grass is three to four feet tall . What should I be using to cut it down? I do not need a lawn look. Just need to cut it down to about eight inches. Thanks in advance, Ed
