The 1030's have a bad rap for a couple of reasons. Only have 1000rpm PTO, a lot of them don't have a 3 point hitch, and the chronic concerns about big Case powershifts. I have had some people tell me on here that they would could rebuild a Case powershift for $3000 or so, but they are always 700 miles (or more) from me. Dealer priced me $7500 for a powershift rebuild and $5000 for rebuilding the PTO, and nobody else I could find would touch it. I wound up scrapping the tractor (2090). Only gave $8000 for the tractor and I'd put 2000 hours on it, got $2500 for salvage. Not my best deal, but not my worst either. At $2200 it went for scrap/salvage price.
