Jacobi Sales Case/IH dealer in central KY and IN. Actually cost $7300 on my dad's (1070). They had just put a powershift unit in and he was running an irrigation pump, something caused it to lose hydraulic pressure for an instant and the pto uncoupled. Almost immediately it recoupled with the obstruction cleared. Of course, with 2 miles of pipe the shaft was still turning. Absolutely destroyed the guts. They won't even open one up and look for less than $2000. All totaled he had $15 grand in a $5000 tractor in 72 hours. That's the main reason he and I sold all our Case stuff. Cost too much to get it worked on. Seems like you can buy it cheap compaired to other brands, we went blue and it cost us a 1/3 more for smaller tractors (went from 100 hp units to 85). Been blue 5 years now and repair bills and fuel costs down by over half.
