My 1030 gave great service; very dependable. 70 series had hyd power brakes, powershift, and PTO. 30's did not. The PTO engagement was a mechanical linkage. idle it down, smoothly engage, and go to work. Ran a three row chopper with ours forever, did a good job. Once in ten years, maybe, adjusted the PTO clutch; no cost other than labor. Straight eight speed transmission, easy shifter. Great engine, very durable. Straight up, plain, hard working horse.
