With live pto, you push in the clutch part way to stop moving forward? That is not the definition of live pto. Maybe on some Fords or Masseys, etc., but not on an Allis-Chalmers like a WD, WD45, or D-series. They have live pto controlled by a hand clutch, independent of the foot clutch.
