wiring a GM alternator on Farmall C

I have a Farmall C I want to put a GM alternator on it and need to know how to wire it. I have a 3 wire alternator and I would like to run it direct to the battery also to a amp gauge. The tractor has a magneto so I dont think I have to run it to a switch.
