Jon's post is very correct and thorough. I have a Case 500 diesel that I wired like this and it works great. The only thing I am not sure about is reversing the polarity of the magneto. My Case magnetos are negative ground, so no problem, I am not sure about yours, you might want to research that a little more. Jon, your post was excellent, have you done this with reverse polarity on a magneto?
