I would recommend a PTO driven pump on the splitter.
No coupling and uncoupling, leaks, dirt getting into system, etc. And you can size the PTO driven pump to your splitter, run it just as fast and hard as you want. You can either use a splitter mounted pump and drive it with a shaft or hang a pump directly on the PTO output shaft, with hoses coupled to the splitter being towed behind the tractor or hanging on the 3 point.
