thanks for writing. i suspect you are right and that this is a very common item (or at least i have no reson to believe it isn't!). i certainly will need to scan a picture soon, as I realize that this would really make identification much much easier. if nothing else, i hope that figuring out what this is will help with dating. thanks again.
