Jim, twenty years ago, the average American CEO made a little over 40 times as much as the average worker, now the average CEO makes over 520 times as much as the average worker makes. Why does the American worker have to take the blame for high manufacturing costs in this country when they are among the ones least to blame? Modern mamagement types would like to have us believe it's the worker's fault because they try to get wages to match ever increasing living expenses, while, in truth it is they who enjoy the bloated salaries and bonus perks they want us to believe they actually earn, that consequently drains away the monies companies used to be able to spend on research and new and better facilities to maintain their lead over world competitors. It's not the cost of labor, it's the cost of these "primadonna", state of the art, world class, management people that's the cause of so many American Manufacturers demise in the world competition of today. Instead of believeing what you hear, do some research on your own and see if you don't agree.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
