I am not an authority on Olivers. I do think Big Jim is pretty close, except for the part where he says it doesn't matter for a loader. The type of valving used to control a loader matters a great deal, and must be matched to the system, either open or closed center, or PFC. I disagree with Steven about a PTO pump. There is no reason to buy a tractor for loader use and fear the hyd pump so much that you resort to tying up the PTO to replace your hyd pump. Only makes sense where the tractor's hyd flow or pressure is underdesigned for loader use, and you already own the tractor.
