I agree completely, see about replacing the cable. Unless tractor is some type of powershift I'd rather try to pull start it instead of bypass start. Usually I put mine in next to highest gear and pull with a truck or another tractor. Sorry about the snow, we just finished getting slammed with ice, even the cities are out of power, be a week tomorrow. 13,000 still in the dark, thanks to God and Pike Electric (out of NC) mine came on night before last.
