I figured there was something wrong here. I had a 44mag in my hand but being it was night and there were two 500 gallon propane tanks behind the coyote, I thought I had better not take the chance. I went to town yesterday to look for some buck shot; I have a lot of shotguns but all I have is bird shot. I sure appreciate all the replies. I dont like wild animals getting too friendly to people, bad things happen. We kinda thought he was trying to lure the animals out but he was pretty smart. Me and my son were preparing 2 tractors for the local Ag Expo and we were cleaning them up and the coyote stayed next to them and I think he knew we were not going to shoot at him next to those tractors. I will keep yall posted. The reason why it is so bad now with the coyotes is that people aren't hunting them like they used to. Thanks again, morgan
