Hi Rusty, My son was telling me here, AZ, DOT is very hard on first time CDL's and you'll never get passed the truck/trailer inspection to take the driving test. To get around that a permit comes first, doesn't say how long you have to have the permit, then the same day off to a professional driving school that is State certified. There you take your tests and if you pass the guy walks accross the street with you to DMV and gets your CDL. Cost him $225 if I remember correct. There's no schooling involved for the $225 just the tests and inspection. It's not a walk thru school as he said you do have to know your stuff. Have no idea if that works in other states and sounds like the simple cheapest part to OTR. Makes me wonder how drivers stay in business? T_Bone
