Been there, done that. You'll be fine with an HR-7. I tilled commercially for about 10 years with my HR-6, still do 5 or 6 gardens every spring. I used to mow as well, got out of it as I wanted to concentrate more on my own place. Also I won't even consider mowing without liability insurance, and that's not cheap. I mowed with a 5 foot Woods behind my John Deere 750. If you're retired or have another source of income, it's not a bad way to make a few bucks. If you plan on making your entire living at it, don't count on it, based on my experience. Even if you live far enough south were you can mow year-around, it'll be tough. By the time you pay liability insurance, insurance/fuel/maintenance/repairs on the tractor, mower and towing rig, there's not a heck of a lot left. It's also hot, dusty work, and can be hard on the back (another reason I decided to let the younger fellers do it). A commercial duty mower isn't cheap either, and a homeowner-rated machine isn't up to the wear and tear. There's not a lot left of my M5 after 10 years of mowing, and I wasn't even close to doing it full time.
