Thanks guys! I will take apart again tonight (I'M getting good at it!) Twopop the only gear with more than 1 mark is the idler gear which has 3, the marks arent evenly spaced and i could only see 1 way in which they can all be aligned, but, maybe Ill have my brother come over and do it to see if he can do differently. Can either of you think of a way that it can lose its timing? When I set timing gears I noticed that the no 3 cyl was on intake when cyl1 was at 19deg btdc on compression stroke, which if I'm thinking clearly, should be correct if firing order is 1 3 4 2. Yet after putting togerther and cranking its def not correct? Is that possible?
