I was talking on Tractor Tales about an alternative to a lawn tractor for cutting some of the grass around my property. I have an Oliver Super 55, but was looking for something a bit lighter. The climate is always on the damp side (Fraser Valley of British Columbia) and the soil never gets hard like it did when I lived in Kentucy and Indiana. Anyhow I was thinking a Cub, or maybe even a Cub lowboy. The Talers were thinking maybe an Allis Chalmers B, or IHC A. I was told the Cub has an oddball PTO, that turns the opposite way of others. They don't teach you that in school. What are your thoughts. I hate the idea of paying out just as much money for a glorified lawn mower from Sears, when at least I could be driving some class. It would make me actually want to cut the grass. (selling point for she who must be obeyed.)
