Seriously, by now anything with splits is most likely rusted, dented, or otherwise beat up enough to be very unsafe when blown up. I remember the old splits I had on my model A doodlebug. I mounted 'em myself and its a miracle I made it to 21. Perhaps it is time to modernize. If it's slow speed stuff, use the old centers and weld on new tubeless outer rims. If it's high speed highway stuff, get new rims. Your relatives will thank you in the long run. I just tossed 6 splits myself. Ouch! Thats a lot of wheels to get at one time.
