Those Dang Split Rims

Howdy folks. I have a few pieces of equipment with those dreaded split rims. My mechanic refuses to mount tires on them, and I don't blame him. I've heard some nasty stories about them. He can't find anyone else either. Does anyone know of a facility in mid-Michigan that can safely deal with them? Thank you.
