A third type used somewhat on older equipment, don't know the name; a straight nipple with two pins on opposite sides about half way down, with a ball and spring in the end to keep grease from escaping. the grease gun, with flexable hose, [steel braid] had an end that fit over the nipple with two spiral slots that fit over the pins on the nipple, a slight twist made everything tight so no grease was lost. The "gun" did not have a lever, but instead a threaded "T" handle on the back end to force the grease out. Wish my picture sender was working so I could send some pics, have both the gun and several nipples. there probably were other styles as well, but this, and the others mentioned are all that I have seen, and collected. Have a gooder, R.E.L.
