Power steering does not work. How can I tell if I need a new pump? Should I drain all fluid and refill and try again? Don't want to spend $300 on a pump, but will if I have to. The steering cylinders seem to work fine-no leaks. I see pumps without the cannister for $150, but don't want to order that one if it won't work. Have decided that it has the Barnes pump on it as the bolt is not centered on the cannister cover. Have jacked up the front end and turned the wheel from left to right and back and it works easily that way. Don't hear any crunching noises in the steering box. Any help will be appreciated.
