The hydraulic pump on the Super C should not be an issue.
The pump can be removed and the mounting area blocked off with a plate (21).
The steering shaft passes through a notch in the block that's lower down than the hydraulic pump mounting area, you can see it in the parts drawing below of a hydraulic pump-style block. AFAIK, the newer style engines were sold as service engines for the older, non-hydraulic tractors.
