This C or super C is in an auction this
week. I'm hoping it sells cheap. I want
to swap the motor to my stuck B. But is
it a C or super? Hope it's cheap and an
easy swap

Sold at last auction for $650. Bidder didn't pay so it's back in this sale. I hope it's way cheaper.

Its a C. You can tell by the clutch and brake pedal arms. They are straight. A super C has a curve in the pedal arms.

Straight brake & clutch pedals, definitely a C. Front wheel pedestal will probably fit your B. Enough there to make a Super B, some thing that was never built by IH, a B with hydraulics. I always wanted to put one together. With your B, you already have half of a potential tractor that IH never developed.

As stated the straight brake and clutch pedals make it a C, not a Super C. The 5 digit serial number also confirm that; the Super's had a 6 digit serial number. Buy it and sell off the complete cultivators. There should be a market for them or put it to use in the Love garden.

GP,
I'm guessing this is a Farmall C because it appears to have a Mag.
I think the Super C used a coil.

My C is a 1950.
Typically they put 5 ft woods mowers on the C

I got a 6 ft woods mower that came off a Famall H.
You couldn't trade my boss for any new ZTR
Nothing rides like the old Monroe seat.

BTW,
I paid $1500 for my C. It was complete, running and a 5 ft mower.
I put a new head gasket on mine. The engine had been completely rebuilt.

The older C doesn't have a water pump. Newer ones do.

I not sure it will swap. The engines are not the same.
Check the front left of the engine. The C or Super C will have a hydraulic pump on the right side and the steering on the left side.
The B has the steering on the right side. The hydraulic pump on the C engine may interfere with the B steering.

I guess you answered my question of a C engine fitting a B.
It's always good when people help me learn something I didn't know.

The hydraulic pump on the Super C should not be an issue.

The pump can be removed and the mounting area blocked off with a plate (21).

The steering shaft passes through a notch in the block that's lower down than the hydraulic pump mounting area, you can see it in the parts drawing below of a hydraulic pump-style block. AFAIK, the newer style engines were sold as service engines for the older, non-hydraulic tractors.

It's my Proto type to a redneck snow pusher.

Works so well I never made one out of steel

My goal was to leave a little show behind and not push gravel on grass.
It works as planned.
