The serial number does not determine what the model is
3400 and 3600 share the same 175 ci diesel engine with the only difference being the oil fill
3400 oil fill is on top of the valve cover, 3600 oil fill is on the side of the timing gear cover just in front of the injection pump
Yak fuel filters were available since 1965 and are often seen on industrial models
3400 has a paper air filter accessible from the left side of the grill shell
3600 air filter access is on the right side
Though hard to see with a loader in place the model, production date and serial numbers or located on the transmission case just to the rear of the starter, they may also be on a foul tag under the hood
