Checking serial number to validate tractor and engine qu

I purchased a tractor advertised as a Ford 3400 diesel and was given the serial number of C239075. Does this correspond to the Ford 3400 series? Any idea what year model?

They said the engine was rebuilt. I'm guessing it was replaced with an engine for a Ford 3600. Based on it has a dual fuel filter which I don't find on a 3400 and the air filter canister configuration is what I am finding on a 3600. Where would I find the engine serial number to check? What element of the number would indicate what tractor it was originally for? If it is a 3600 engine on a 3400 tractor are there any issues I need to watch for?

Serial number 239075 is for a 69 model tractor
The serial number does not determine what the model is
3400 and 3600 share the same 175 ci diesel engine with the only difference being the oil fill
3400 oil fill is on top of the valve cover, 3600 oil fill is on the side of the timing gear cover just in front of the injection pump
Yak fuel filters were available since 1965 and are often seen on industrial models
3400 has a paper air filter accessible from the left side of the grill shell
3600 air filter access is on the right side

Though hard to see with a loader in place the model, production date and serial numbers or located on the transmission case just to the rear of the starter, they may also be on a foul tag under the hood

My jubilee engine numbers are missing.
Some said they probably have replaced the OEM engine with a crate engine.

Don't think the value of antique tractors is determined by having number matching
engine.

So my jubilee could be a 1954 with a Jubilee badge.

Thanks. I will check out the oil fill location. I will check the oil pan also.

The canister opening for the paper air filter is pointed to the right. However, I believe someone replaced the hood and grill shell as there is no opening, on either side of it, for the filter access. The lights are high so there is no space for a port. There is a cap on the top left of the shell that I believe relates to the air intake and my guess is it was setup in case an oil-bath air filter was used.

There is a port hole on the left side of the hood towards the driver's seat with nothing behind it related to the air filter.

Was there an industrial model of the 3600? I believe the front axle is fixed, not adjustable.

No openings on either side would denote oil bath air
cleaner. You will have to go back to oil bath or cut a
hole in the shell. Your post is confusing because the
filter element should come out the left side, not the
right. All the plumbing for the intake manifold is on
the right side. Unless there is some filter assembly
in there that is not Ford related.

The industrial version of a 3600 would be a 335 or 340
The 3400 and 335/340 industrials had heavy cast oil pans, 3000/3600 ag models had stamped steel pans but the pans are interchangeable.
Where does the exhaust pipe exit the hood, 3400 exhaust will be towards the back half of the hood, 3600/335/340 exhaust will be towards the front of the hood
