Lots of barns around with that style of roof here Larry, but most are built on a stone foundation. So the stable is often stone walls, built into the side of a hill. That way you can drive right into the upstairs of the barn on the level, and the cows can walk out the other side of the barn on the level too. Old barns are disappearing fast. No one really has any desire to work in them, and few people keep livestock anymore.
